There will be a Partial Solar Eclipse at 2 degrees of Sagittarius on November 24, 2011 at during the late evening hours. This will happen as we celebrate Thanksgiving in the USA. It will be seen at the southern tip of South Africa, Antarctica, Tasmania and New Zealand. This is a North Node Solar Eclipse and called “Saros Series 14 North.” Mercury will turn retrograde on the same day (November 24th) just hours before this New Moon eclipse – they will both be in the sign of Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter so I think our spirits will be lifted over the holidays. Many will come home for the holidays and Sagittarian energy is friendly, outgoing, dependable and positive!

At a North Node Eclipse, many of us will be tackling major life issues. We come closer to knowing more about ourselves and it is also a period when we build up and strengthen our physical bodies. There will be a shift in cultural orientation, a time to finish the books and reports we are writing and have them published.

The tone of this Saros Series 14 North Eclipse may be a bit challenging for the mutable signs: Pisces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius, and especially for those born around the 23rd, 24th or 25th of any month, but remember that out of the darkness comes the dawn so work deeply through your issues and soon some good will come from your efforts! Venus will be at 27 degrees of Sagittarius contacting the Galactic Center the day before this eclipse. As our Solar System aligns with the Galactic Center these days, the Venus moment will open up our minds and hearts to whispers from the Cosmos.

We had a Saros 14 North Eclipse in 1957 when Elvis Presley appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show for the final time and bought Graceland. The same Saros 14 North Eclipse happened in 1975 during the time of the Watergate Scandal, and Ronald Reagan entered the race for the Republican Presidential Election. 1n 1993 during this Saros Cycle, Bill Clinton became the 42nd President of the USA, the World Trade Center was bombed, and in the spring of 1993 there were two 7.5 –7.8 earthquakes in Japan.

12/14/11 – Mercury will turn Direct at about 2 degrees of Sagittarius – A personal stalemate over an issue will be dissolved.
2/21/12 – During Mardi Gras the New Moon at 2 degrees of Pisces squares the Eclipse Point - Get in touch with your spiritual side.
4/6/12 – Venus opposes the Eclipse Point and there could be major news about the US Tax Code. Also, learn where the line exists between friendship and love.
5/23/12 – Sun opposes Eclipse Point – Reevaluate your major relationships and goals. Outbursts of temper and rivalry may be displayed among those in power.
6/20/12 – Jupiter opposes the Eclipse Point – Major news from around the World will soon be annnounced.
7/31/12 to 8/6/12 - The Nodes of the Moon activate the Eclipse Point - a major personal or possibly an international issue will be finalized.
